I'm compare-and-contrasting with Naaman, who expected to be able to dictate how he should be healed, and was so insulted by Elisha's back-of-the hand dismissal ... with the disciples who crowed about their power to defeat demons. Power vs Peace. Which did Jesus choose? Which should we?
To be honest I am sick of warfare language, even if it is spiritual. I think Jesus, foolishly perhaps, went onward to Jerusalem and to his certain death. I notice he did NOT fight or make war, he simply gave them the gospel of crucified Love to contemplate for the rest of their lives—mine too. One of my biggest temptations often is to argue/make war with words and judge others. People are so STOOPID I think. So am I. At least I can still laugh at them and at me!
Thank you, Andrew, for interacting with my article. I appreciate the way you contrasted Jesus's peaceful campaign with the presence of the occupying armies in the region. What a counter-cultural vision!

How good to “meet” Joseph - I didn’t realize you’d see this. Thank you for your work! Peace.
Thanks for your patience. :) I look forward to learning from you.
