Delicious: the difficulty of translating the word for the Spirit on Pentecost...the day of language translation. Thanks for that, and for more depth on "paraclete"!
100% guarantee I will be referencing that team in my sermon on Sunday . . . Though it will shed no light on the nature of the Holy Spirit, unlike Dean McGowan's very smart commentary.
I often call the Holy Spirit/Paraclete a "browser". She makes me think of someone who is curious and eager and open to all words in an enormous library of books all ready for my heart to spring to attention at every word, insight, or murmur. Browsing is investment and commitment all at once. Such a deal!!!

One translation renders Paraclete as “graduate and professional intramural soccer league champions”
Ah yes, the NYDS version if I recall...

This connects (so to speak) with Jesus' statement that the Paraclete "leads to all truth"!
